Effective January 1, 2007, Mary LaRowe assumed the responsibilities of President and Chief Executive Officer of St. James Mercy Health System, located in Hornell, NY.
Prior to joining St. James Mercy, Ms. LaRowe served as president of the Western New York Healthcare Association (WNYHA) and as executive vice president of the Healthcare Association of New York State (HANYS), both trade associations representing over 500 hospitals, nursing homes and home care agencies. LaRowe began her career at Buffalo General Hospital, as a registered nurse and has worked in various leadership roles within the health care industry including the New York State Department of Health, United Memorial Medical Center in Batavia, NY and Westfield Memorial Hospital in Chautauqua County.
Mary LaRowe holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from D’Youville College and a Master of Business Administration from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
