Encouraging new residents

McAuley Manor uses an interdisciplinary care team approach involving members of the Nursing, Activities, Rehabilitation, Respiratory Therapy, Social Work and Dietary staff professionals and develops a plan of care that is person-centered and encourages individuals to maintain their independence, promote health, wellness and socialization. Family members are invited to partner with their loved one and the interdisciplinary staff to maintain family connections and continue being active participants in their loved ones’ lives. Staff understands that residents are not limited by chronological age and that they continue to have the desire and potential to be productive, contributing members of the community-at-large. Nursing care is provided 24-hours daily by a highly skilled, educated and qualified staff of Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants. Dining opportunities abound and include home-style family dining, tray service, special events and dining out at the many restaurants in the local region. Pets are encouraged to visit providing they are licensed and vaccinated and our own resident rabbit, Butterscotch makes weekly visits to all of the nursing units. The facility is also home for some domestic birds and fish on the first floor unit.
